🎨 Realism vs. Fast & Free Art – My Thoughts

In my last post, I ended with a question: “Do you think realism is worth the hours, or do you prefer art that’s fast and free ?” And honestly, I’ve been thinking about it too. Realism: The Slow Magic Realism is where I lose track of time. I’ll sit for hours, obsessing over one tiny wrinkle or the way light falls on fabric . Sometimes it feels never-ending, but when someone looks at the painting and says, “Is this a photo?” —all that patience feels worth it. It’s like a quiet victory between me and the canvas. Fast & Free: The Energy of the Moment But then there are days when I don’t want to be patient. I just grab my brush and let the strokes fly. You capture emotions quickly, without worrying about perfection. No rules, no pressure—just me, my colors, and whatever emotion I’m in at that moment. The mistakes, the splashes, the messy strokes —they all become part of the story. It feels alive in a different way.   It’s art that breathes energy because it comes from in...

Patience in Every Stroke

Image
In this painting, I dove deep into realism — every wrinkle, every shadow, every tiny detail in the fabric. Realism is both a joy and a test of patience. It’s like telling your brush, “Please behave,” while your hand whispers, “Don’t mess this up now!” Many people ask me, “How do you stay patient when a painting gets tricky?” — a great follow-up to the question from our last post. (Or maybe it’s just me behaving better 🤔). 🌟 A Few Tips  Zoom in, zoom out – Don’t get stuck on a single wrinkle for hours. Step back and see the bigger picture. Break it into bites – Think of the canvas like a giant pizza. Paint slice by slice, not the whole thing at once. Patience is practice – Every stroke is a test, and every test builds your skill. “As always, I’ll end with a question: Do you think realism is worth the hours, or do you prefer art...

🎨 My Art, My Cheers: A Still Life with Wine and Grapes 🍇🍷

Image
Hey lovely people! Let’s learn together and see my paintings day by day—because why should learning be boring when it can be fun and full of surprises? Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite still life paintings. It has juicy grapes, two wine glasses, two bottles, and a barrel… all sitting there looking fancy, as if they’re about to throw a party without me. But trust me, the real challenge wasn’t making them look pretty. Oh no… It was trying to paint the glass reflections perfectly without the red wine glass giving me attitude.  I swear the glass was like: "Are you sure that’s where the light hits?" "I’ve seen better reflections at the supermarket." But jokes aside, knowing that light and shadow are the real bosses of still life. 🌟 Pro Tip for Beginners : When painting glass or anything reflective, always treat the light source like your VIP guest. Where does the light hit best? Where does the shadow fall? Mastering this will give your painting life a...
