The Hidden Self In a world that constantly asks us to adjust, adapt, and conform, the question arises: How much of ourselves remains truly ours? “The Hidden Self” is a visual reflection on identity and individuality. The fingerprint—unique to every human—stands as a powerful symbol of the self we are born with. At the center of the artwork, the warm, skin-toned colors represent this original self: pure, unaltered, and authentic. As the fingerprint expands outward, the colors begin to change. The tones grow darker, heavier, and more varied. These outer layers represent the opinions of others—society, family, expectations, judgments, and comparisons. Over time, these external voices shape us, influence us, and sometimes slowly cover the truth of who we really are.
